Allah has stated in the Quran that ‘the friends of Allah have no fear and no sorrow’. The meaning of یَا وَلیُ (Ya Waliyu) is supporter and friend. One who constantly recites this divine Name becomes a symbol of friendship amongst people and such praiseworthy characteristics are created in him that Allah’s creation holds him very dear. The one whom Allah’s creation holds dear and who benefits Allah’s creation, Allah loves such people and the one whom Allah loves is Allah’s friend.
