The foundation of Sufism is, love (Mohobath), oneness of God (Tawheed), piety (Taqwa) and self-awareness (Irfan-e-Nafs). The teachings of the Holy Quran share that, Allah is one and there is no one equal to Him and He loves His creatures. The Holy Quran was revealed upon mankind when it was lost in the abysmal darkness of infidelity, idolatry and polytheism. Man was under the grip of self-praise, pride, vanity and materialism.
