Rules and Regulations

Rules and Regulations

  1. Maintain the spiritual character and identity in everything you say and do.
  2. Take the initiative in greeting others, regardless of age.
  3. Show friendship and compassion to all creatures of the Lord.
  4. Avoid disputes within the Silsila.
  5. Follow every instruction of the Spiritual Teacher with a sincere heart.
  6. Never attempt to prove the superiority of your Silsila by comparing it with others, for all Silsilas are paths leading to God.
  7. Anyone causing disruption or harm should be removed from the Silsila.
  8. Practice the lessons of remembrance and contemplation with consistency. Do not be careless in performing Muraqba.
  9. Recite and reflect upon the Holy Quran, giving attention to the meanings of the verses.
  10. Establish a bond with God during the performance of Salaat.
  11. A spiritual associate or student of another Silsila may be accepted into the Silsila Azeemia as a seeker.
  12. Anyone already engaged in another Silsila cannot be admitted into the Silsila Azeemia, because one cannot belong to two Silsilas at the same time.
  13. Once admitted into the Silsila, no one can withdraw. Therefore, those who seek admission must be clearly advised to think carefully, for this bond is permanent.
  14. Those entrusted with responsibilities in the Silsila should not call anyone their disciple. They should treat them as friends and address them as such.
  15. Those with authority in the Silsila should not sit on seats of distinction reserved for them. Their appearance and seating in public should be as ordinary people.
  16. Men and women, young and old, being creations of the Lord, are all brothers and sisters through Adam. Everyone is equal; no one is superior or inferior to another. True superiority belongs only to the one who attains knowledge of God’s attributes, reflects them in character, helps others, and causes no harm.
  17. Do not allow doubt to enter your heart. One who lives in doubt can never attain recognition of the Lord. Doubt is Satan’s strongest tool to separate man from his soul. Abandoning spiritual values closes the doors to knowledge, self-realization, and awareness of God.
  18. A painter enjoys his painting first himself. If he is not satisfied with his own work, how can others be moved by it? Instead, they will ridicule him, and he will fall into restlessness and unease. Likewise, always do what satisfies your own conscience, and do not let it die. This is the secret of becoming a source of guidance to others.
  19. Strive sincerely and actively in all affairs of life, giving due consideration to religious, social, ethical, and moral values, without demanding particular results. Leave the results to God, for man is only subject to circumstances. Man must live as circumstances compel him, while God alone is Omnipotent, controlling every situation, changing them as He wills. Observing moral, social, and religious values is mandatory for everyone in earning their livelihood.
  20. If you hurt someone, apologize, whether they are older or younger, for true greatness lies in humility.
  21. If someone hurts you, forgive immediately, for vengeance is a vice.
  22. Vengeful emotions destroy the nerves. The fire of anger shakes the blood, drains the energy of the nerves, and weakens the vital force of life. To harm others is to destroy oneself. God does not approve of harm to mankind. “God loves those who control their anger.”

Remember, the candle burns itself to give light to others. The moths give up their lives in tribute to the candle’s sacrifice. The Silsila Azeemia invites all humanity to gather under the banner of:

“Hold tightly to the rope of Allah, all together, and do not become divided.”
وَاعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبْلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟
(Surah Aal-e-Imran, 3:103)

Let us resolve to follow in the footsteps of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Let us spread his mission to every corner of the world, acquainting humanity with the ocean of knowledge and awareness he embodied. In this, we pray to receive the blessings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) after equipping ourselves with our spiritual potential.

    Amen.
