Hazrat Lubabah al-Mutaʿabbidah (RA) was a resident of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem). Once, a man asked her:
“I am going for Hajj. What prayer should I make there?”
She replied:
“Ask Allah for that which pleases Him and through which He counts you among His beloved friends.”
He asked:
“What is that thing?”
She replied:
“Ask Allah for Allah.”
السيدة لُبابَة المتعبدة رحمها الله
كانت السيدة لُبابَة المتعبدة رحمها الله من سكان بيت المقدس.
سألها رجل:
“أنا ذاهب إلى الحج، فبماذا أدعو هناك؟”
فقالت:
“اطلب من الله ما يُرضيه، وأن يحتسبك من أوليائه.”
فسأل:
“وما هو هذا الشيء؟”
فقالت:
“اطلب الله… من الله نفسه”
