When Allah the Exalted said كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
“Be, and it becomes”
(Qur’an 2:117, 3:47, 16:40)
The Divine Attributes took the form and shape of the universe. Meaning the components of Allah’s attributes became the face of multiplicity. This face is the total of all those souls or components which received separate forms and shapes as creation. The first definition of creation became this that the indivisible components that cannot be divided further meaning the souls which in the Qur’an are called أَمْرُ رَبِّي
“the Command of my Lord” (17:85) appeared openly in the form of existents. Keeping this definition in view we cannot forget the connection that exists between the Creator and the creation. This very connection is called Jo in the language of Sufism.
The second definition of Jo is that creation at every step is dependent on the connection with the Creator and the attributes of the Creator at every moment grant Jo a new life.
In the third stage of Jo a chain appears which we declare as the means of birth. In the language of Sufism its name is Rukh-e-Awwal the first aspect.
In the fourth chain of Jo is the very form and appearance of birth which in the language of Sufism is called Rukh-e-Thani the second aspect. Both these aspects together are the totality of the diversity of Jo.
In the fifth chain of Jo the mind of individuals takes the form of organization meaning the individual feeling of Jo comprehends the feeling of each individual person.
Jo is the explanation of
نَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنْ حَبْلِ الْوَرِيدِ
“We are closer to him than his jugular vein”
(Qur’an 50:16)
Whatever in the universe is felt by consciousness or is seen or is comprehended by consciousness its existence is found within Jo in the form of the first reflection/tamaththul-e-awwal. Wherever any individual is he is a reflection of the first reflection whether that individual is a human a jinn an angel from vegetation from minerals or holds the status of a planet.
Every individual of the universe through Jo is unconsciously acquainted and connected with one another. In the language of Sufism the details of Jo are called the hidden realms of creation/Mugheebaat-e-Akwaan. If an individual gains the knowledge of the hidden realms of creation/Mugheebaat-e-Akwaan then he can see the movement of one particle connected with the movement of another particle. In other words the one who possesses the consciousness of Jo if he wishes to observe events of a thousand years before or a thousand years after he can do so.
