It has been observed that in several cases more girls are born than boys in a household. Even after five, six, or seven girls a boy is not born.
If one wishes for a baby boy, once a woman is pregnant she should recite یَااَوَّلُ (Ya Awwalu) 40 times daily and blow on her stomach for the first three months. Inshā Allāh the hope will be fulfilled.
After the birth of a boy, he should be named with a name of Allah, for example Abdullah, Abdul-Awwal, Abdul-Ghafār.
